A BILL
To amend title 18, United States Code, to improve the Federal carjacking statute.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Federal Carjacking Enforcement Act''.
SEC. 2. MOTOR VEHICLES.
Section 2119 of title 18, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking ``, with the intent to cause death or serious bodily harm'' and inserting ``knowingly''; and (2) in paragraph (3), by striking ``if death results,'' and inserting ``if the motor vehicle is taken with the intent to cause death or serious bodily harm, and death results,''. <all>
